Hi fellow Fluidized Bed Builders.
I've been helping out by building some prototype fluidized beds out in my freezing cold garage. Note that Beach sand will freeze solid out there and no amount of air will fluidize it.
It took me a while to grasp the project. Here is how I see it.......
********* The challenge is to make a few pounds of something like sand or table salt to behave like a liquid by blowing air thru it. That's it!
*********
It is not as easy as it seems yet is a lot of fun. Without giving too much away I think the real trick is in the design of the bottom of your chamber and how the air is distributed thru the sand.
nuff for now.
